Black Tooled Leather Flask – Four Aces and Floral Carving

A 150 ml steel flask sleeved in tooled leather, with every recess of the carving blacked out. Four aces fan across the front in hand-painted turquoise, a bronc rider pitching off the last card. Black borders top and bottom, laced in white. High contrast, front to back.

What Makes It Work

Hand-tooled aces and bronc rider. The card fan is carved in relief and hand-painted — turquoise pips, a blue-shirted rider, a pale bucking horse with a dark saddle.

Blacked-out backgrounds. Every stamped recess behind the scrollwork is filled black, so the tan carving lifts hard off the surface. This is what separates it from the tan version.

Deep floral scrollwork. Carved acanthus leaves and full flowers wrap the card panel on both sides.

White lace whipstitch edging. Flat white leather lacing runs through the black top and bottom borders in a diamond stitch.

Polished stainless cap. Knurled screw cap on a hinged captive arm. It swings clear when open and stays with the flask.

Black leather base. The underside is finished in plain black with lacing carried around the edge.

How to Use It

Fill it, cap it, pocket it. 150 ml is one generous pour or two smaller ones — enough for a rodeo, a card night, a tailgate, a cold evening outdoors. It sits flat in a back pocket or a jacket. The black-on-tan finish reads dressier than the natural version, so it holds up next to a black hat or dark boots.

Cleaning & Care

Wash the inside only. Rinse with warm water, swirl, and leave it to air dry with the cap open.

The leather wrap must never get wet. Do not submerge the flask. Do not put it in the dishwasher. Wipe the leather with a dry or barely damp cloth and keep it out of long direct sun. Hand-painted colour will soften and settle as the leather ages.
