Hand-Tooled Leather Slide Sandals

Carved by hand. Built to walk in.

These slides are made from full grain leather, tooled by hand in our Jaipur workshop. Every flower and scroll on the straps was carved into the leather by an artisan — not printed, not machine-stamped. The pattern is raised enough that you can feel it under your fingers.

Underneath the leather sits a shaped cork footbed on a rubber outsole. The detail is on a sandal you can genuinely walk in, not one you only wear from the car to the table.

What Makes Them Work

Two independent buckles. Each strap adjusts on its own, so you set the fit across your toes and across your instep separately. Useful on hot days when feet swell, or when you wear them from morning until night.

Contoured cork footbed. Shaped with an arch and a heel cup. Cork softens with wear and settles toward the shape of your own foot over time.

Treaded rubber outsole. Patterned for grip, not just for looks. Holds steady on tile, pavement and stone.

Antique brass buckles and saddle stitching. Edges finished the same way a good leather belt is finished — clean stitch line running the full length.

How to Wear Them

Slide them on and go. Once the buckles are set to your fit, there is nothing to fasten.

The warm tan leather sits easily with linen, denim, a summer dress, or bare legs on a hot afternoon.

Care Instructions

Leather straps. Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth after wear. Let them dry naturally, away from direct sun and heat. Condition every few months with a small amount of leather balm or neutral cream, worked in gently along the carved lines rather than scrubbed across them. This keeps the tooling crisp and stops the leather drying out.

Cork footbed. Brush off dust with a dry brush or cloth. Do not soak the footbed or submerge the sandals. If they get wet, let them dry slowly at room temperature.

Rubber outsole. Wipe clean with a damp cloth when needed.

Storage. Keep them somewhere cool and dry with good airflow. Avoid sealed plastic bags for long storage — leather needs to breathe.

A note on wear. Full grain leather darkens and softens with use. Marks, creases and a deepening colour are normal, and part of how the piece ages.
