Tan Tooled Leather Flask – Basketweave and Green Scrollwork
All carving. No shortcuts.
A 150 ml steel flask sleeved in tan leather, tooled edge to edge. Carved scrollwork and flowers cut across two panels of basketweave stamping, with green backgrounds pressed in behind the leaves. Cream lacing runs along the top and bottom. Nothing here is printed.
What Makes It Work
Hand-carved scroll and flower. Deep-cut acanthus leaves and a full flower sweep diagonally across the front, shaded and beveled by hand.
Basketweave stamping. Two corner panels are stamped in a tight basketweave grid, struck one impression at a time.
Green background shading. The recessed areas behind the leaves are dotted and hand-coloured green, so the carving reads with depth from across a room.
Cream lace whipstitch edging. Flat cream leather lacing runs along the top and bottom borders in a diamond stitch.
Polished stainless cap. Knurled screw cap on a hinged captive arm. It swings clear when open and stays with the flask.
How to Use It
Fill it, cap it, pocket it. 150 ml is one generous pour or two smaller ones — enough for a rodeo, a tailgate, a hunting morning, a long drive. It sits flat in a back pocket or a jacket. The tan-and-green colourway stays quieter than the painted designs, so it suits anyone who wants the tooling to do the talking.
Cleaning & Care
Wash the inside only. Rinse with warm water, swirl, and leave it to air dry with the cap open.
The leather wrap must never get wet. Do not submerge the flask. Do not put it in the dishwasher. Wipe the leather with a dry or barely damp cloth and keep it out of long direct sun. Undyed tan leather will darken and deepen with handling.
