Hand-painted diamonds. Hand-carved scrolls. One pair of sandals.

These slides start with natural full grain leather, carved by hand in our Jaipur workshop. Scrollwork and flowers run along the footbed edge. Across the straps sits a hand-painted diamond pattern in turquoise and black, each shape filled in by hand and outlined against the undyed leather around it.

Underneath is a contoured cork footbed on a treaded rubber outsole. The colour is the first thing you notice, but these are built to be walked in.

What Makes Them Work

Two independent buckles. Each strap adjusts separately, so you can set the fit across your toes and across your instep on its own. Helpful on hot days, or when you wear them from morning until night.

Hand-painted diamond straps. Turquoise and black diamonds laid over natural leather, edged with pale saddle stitching. Because the colour is applied by hand, the spacing and shade vary slightly from pair to pair.

Carved floral and scroll tooling. Flowers and flowing scrollwork cut into the sides of the footbed, deep enough to feel under your thumb.

Contoured cork footbed. Shaped with an arch and a heel cup. Cork softens with wear and settles toward the shape of your own foot.

Treaded rubber outsole. Patterned for grip. Steady on tile, pavement and stone.

Antique brass buckles.

How to Wear Them

Slide them on and go. Once the buckles are set, there is nothing to fasten.

The turquoise and black does the work in an outfit, so keep the rest simple — cream linen, white cotton, denim, or a plain summer dress.

Care Instructions

Leather straps. Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth after wear. Dry naturally, away from direct sun and heat. Condition every few months with a small amount of neutral leather balm, worked in gently. Take extra care over the painted panels — rub lightly, never scrub, and avoid solvents or alcohol-based cleaners, which can lift hand-applied colour.

Cork footbed. Brush off dust with a dry brush. Do not soak or submerge. If they get wet, dry them slowly at room temperature.

Rubber outsole. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Storage. Cool, dry place with good airflow. No sealed plastic bags for long storage — leather needs to breathe.

A note on wear. The natural leather will darken and soften with use. Small variations in the painted colour are part of hand work, not a fault.
